Enhanced Healthcare is a specialist health and social care temporary staffing agency providing flexible staffing services across North Wales and the North West of England.

We are recruiting experienced Cleaners to work flexible agency shifts across care homes and hospitals throughout Anglesey and Gwynedd.

Flexible working

Most cleaning shifts are available between approximately 7:30am and 5:00pm, although exact working hours may vary depending on the service.

Registering with Enhanced Healthcare gives you control over your working pattern. Simply provide us with your availability and choose the shifts that fit around your personal commitments.

We offer a mixture of advance bookings and short-notice assignments, allowing you to work as much or as little as suits you.

About the role

As an Enhanced Healthcare Cleaner, you will support care homes and hospitals by maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for residents, patients, visitors and staff.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
• Cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
• Following infection prevention and control procedures
• Cleaning frequently touched surfaces
• Replenishing cleaning products and supplies
• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
• Following COSHH guidance and site-specific procedures
• Reporting maintenance, hygiene or safety concerns
• Working respectfully around residents, patients and healthcare teams

What we are looking for

To register with Enhanced Healthcare, you must have:

• A minimum of six months’ cleaning experience gained in the UK
• A reliable and professional approach to work
• Good attention to detail
• An understanding of hygiene and infection prevention
• The confidence to work within care homes and hospital environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to follow instructions and site procedures

Previous experience cleaning within a care home, hospital or other healthcare environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

DBS requirements

Ideally, you will already have an Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service.

Applicants who do not currently have a suitable DBS must be willing to undergo a new Enhanced DBS check at a cost of £62.

Enhanced Healthcare will refund the cost of your DBS once you have completed 250 hours of work with us.

Training and support

We provide the mandatory training required to prepare you for working safely within care homes and hospitals.

You will also receive support from a dedicated consultant who will help you find shifts that match your availability and preferred locations.

You will have access to our worker app, where you can:

• Update your availability
• View and manage your shifts
• Submit timesheets
• Communicate directly with our team

Our out-of-hours team is also available to support you whenever you are working.
